I wasn’t a big Rom guy back in the day, but I loved me some Dire Wraiths. Their appearance in Uncanny X-Men 185-187 was, to me, their best-ever arc. Plus, having Barry Windsor-Smith pencil them in the seminal “LifeDeath” story gave them a level of terrifying they hadn’t had before or since. This particular series provides some insight as to why they are what they are & how they came to Earth around the time of the July 1969 American moon landing.
