This is the comic book I have wanted to review for Monkeys Fighting Robots since I started. I loved the Spider-Man & Black Cat romance from waaaayyyyy back in the day, like pre-Secret Wars old school. Black Cat Annual #1 is just an incredible read. It’s one of those perfect self-contained books that not only acts as a fun story for old-school fans, but as a solid entry point for new fans. It’s what an Annual should be. And it has the perfect amount of danger, Spidey humor, and Black Cat being, well, the Black Cat, to make this one of the more fun books released this year. Writing, art, colors, and lettering is all incredible. Buy this book now.
